TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A robber wielding a crossbow and wearing a motorcycle helmet targeted a Temecula business Friday, a sheriff’s sergeant said Saturday.
Deputies were called to the 31000 block of Temecula Parkway shortly after 6:30 p.m.
The suspect had shown his weapon to an employee and demanded cash, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. James Larson said.
No one was injured.
Deputies searched the area with the help of a helicopter and police dogs but were unable to find the suspect, Larson said.
Officials described the suspect as a white or Latino man, about 6 feet-2 inches tall and having a stocky build.
Deputies encouraged anyone with information about the incident to call the sheriff’s Temecula station at (951) 696-3000.
