LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles Wednesday.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. on Holmes Avenue near Slauson Avenue, according to Richard French of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The unidentified victim was crossing the street when she was hit by the driver of a green, four-door car.

Police encourage anyone with information about the incident to call LAPD Central Traffic Division Det. Jose De Leon at (213) 972-1825 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
