The alleged assault took place around 9:35 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the 700 block of East M Street, Colton police said.
The female victim told officers she was assaulted by a Hispanic man who she had met while waiting at a nearby bus stop.
“The suspect followed the victim as she walked to a friend’s house and assaulted her behind some shrubs out of sight from passing motorists,” Det. Ray Mendez said.
The suspect is described at 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He has acne scars on his cheeks and two scars on his stomach.
“The suspect may use the name of ‘Tony’, and possibly lives in the city of Colton,” Det. Mendez said.
Anyone with information should contact the Colton Police Department at (909) 370-5110.
