MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) —A woman in her 50s or 60s was stabbed to death in Montebello Wednesday night.
Police were called to a house in the 600 block of North 20th Street around 6 p.m. after neighbors, who were doing a welfare check, found the Hispanic woman’s body.
KCAL9′s Juan Fernandez said authorities named 51-year-old Emelio Martinez, who reportedly lived in the victim’s home, as a person of interest.
Officials said Martinez may have stolen the older woman’s burgundy 2000 Dodge Stratus with California license plate 4JMC641.
Anyone with information on Martinez or the location of the victim’s car is encouraged to contact the Montebello Police Department or the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
