Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 15)

STUDIO CITY (CBS2) — Wind advisories are in effect for much of our inland area. Expect gusty winds of up to about 35 mph as this moderate Santa Ana Wind takes hold.

The off-shore flow will help to keep us warm for today; temperatures should be about 7 to 10 degrees above average. Expect the worst of the wind from this morning through early the afternoon.

The advisories continue through Saturday morning, but things will start to reverse pretty dramatically.

We are going to see much cooler temperatures on Sunday and Monday. We are now watching a storm system that could bring rain to the region on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While this won't be a major rain maker, it does have some cold air associated with it, along with some vorticity (lift). That means there will be some lower snow levels once again and the possibility of thunderstorms with hail embedded. There is another wave of energy later next week.

Coast - mid 70s
Basin upper - 70s
Valleys - upper 70s
Mountains - upper40s
Deserts - mid 60s
