SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro is the perfect place to learn about marine life—and spend time with a loved one—for an affordable price.
For only a few dollars ($5 for adults, $1 for kids), people can experience an ocean wonderland of jellyfish, lobster, crabs, and even sharks.
Larry Fukuhara, the program director of the 77-year-old aquarium, said, “A lot of aquariums you go…they have things from all over the world, but here we specialize in just Southern California.”
Feel like getting hands-on? Marine lovers can touch a starfish or take a peek inside an aquatic nursery.
Visitor Malcolm Carson said, “I have been to a lot of other aquariums, but none of them have been this open to interaction…they’re open to learning…everything is there for you to experience.”
