Detectives Investigating Death Of Woman Pronounced Dead At South Bay Hospital

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's detectives Wednesday are investigating the death of a woman who was pronounced dead at a South Bay hospital.

Deputies were called to Torrance Memorial Medical Center at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday "to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a female adult," Deputy Irys Alvarez said in a statement.

The unidentified Lomita resident was transported to the hospital earlier that night and later pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding her death were not released.
