Have A Romantic Valentine's Dinner At Home With Ideas From Gladstones

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Bring the beauty of Gladstones home this Valentine's Day!

General Manager of Gladstones, Tony Sher, visited the KCAL9 studios to feature romantic seafood dishes that viewers can make at home.

Many seafood items are considered aphrodisiacs. Many people know that oysters are high up on the list, but lobster, scallops, clams, and of course caviar are also considered to be extremely romantic. Also, seafood is usually very light, as opposed to say, a steak or pasta meal, so it won't leave you feeling heavy and lethargic when you're trying to cuddle up to your loved one afterwards.

White wine or champagne both go perfectly with seafood.

A nice dry champagne would compliment the blood orange citrus notes in the halibut, and the sweet tinge of rose champagne pairs nicely with the chocolate and strawberries for dessert - not to mention it's the color of love. If you'd like a cocktail instead, we recommend Le Grand Saint, which is a sparkling vodka, and gives any toast a celebratory feel.
