POWAY (CBSLA.com) — A vehicle tied to triple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner has been discovered in a San Diego suburb.

COMPLETE COVERAGE: SoCal Manhunt

According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, a truck with license plates registered to Dorner was discovered in Poway around 1 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities later determined that Dorner switched the license plate of the vehicle with the plates on his Nissan Titan.

Those plates were found by deputies on the suspect's burned out truck in Big Bear that same day, officials said.

The Poway substation of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department towed the vehicle and processed it for physical evidence such as fingerprints, Lt. Julia Engen of the Irvine Police Department said.

No additional details were released.
