HANCOCK PARK (CBSLA.com) — One of two schools in Hancock Park remained on lockdown late Friday afternoon while authorities searched the area for three burglary suspects.
Officer Herrera with the LAPD Media Relations says officers were dispatched to the area about 12:48 p.m. following a report of a burglary in the area.
As of 3:34 p.m., officials report that Marlborough School on S. Rossmore Avenue remained on lockdown.
It was placed on lockdown about 1:15 p.m., along with Third Street Elementary School on S. June Street.
The lockdown at Third Street Elementary School was lifted about 2:05 p.m. and children were allowed to go home for the day.
No further information was immediately available.
