Bejarano Rides Majestic Jewel To Victory In Armen Keuilian Purse At Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) -- Majestic Jewel won the $58,000 Armen Keuilian Purse for 3-year-old California-bred fillies by a half-length on Friday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Majestic Jewel ran six furlongs in 1:10.80 and paid $7.80, $5.20 and $3. Bejarano won four races on the card.

Swiss Bliss returned $10.20 and $3.60, while 4-5 favorite Hail Mary stumbled badly leaving the gate and ended up 2 1/2 lengths back in third. She paid $2.20 to show.

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Majestic Jewel's career earnings to $69,450, with two wins in five starts.
