TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a pair of burglaries and vehicle thefts.
A statement posted on the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said an investigation was launched on Jan. 29, when a Temecula homeowner reported a burglary and theft of a car.
“Temecula Police investigators followed up on the initial investigation and were able to locate the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the Margarita Summit Apartments in Temecula,” the statement said.
Police subsequently obtained and served a search warrant at the location and recovered two cars and property from two separate burglaries.
The suspect, identified as Coty Lee Carter, remained behind bars Saturday in lieu of $35,000 bail, online jail records showed.
