CRENSHAW (CBSLA.com) — An off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer shot a suspect in Crenshaw Friday night.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Westside Avenue.
KCAL9’s Andrea Fujii reported it’s not clear why the shooting occurred.
However, police were originally called to the scene over a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer was also taken to the hospital.
