RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A man was killed Tuesday when his vehicle crashed at a Ralphs/Food 4 Less distribution center in Riverside.

The collision happened around 6:40 p.m. at 1500 Eastridge Avenue.

Witnesses told police that the driver of a Dodge Avenger was traveling at approximately 100 mph on Eastridge when he blew through the security guard gate and crashed into the loading dock of the grocery warehouse.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
