EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Fire crews Monday were battling a three-alarm fire at Mountain View High School, which is located at 2900 Parkway Drive.

Authorities received a 911 call alerting them to the fire, which broke out in the school’s cafeteria at 2:30 a.m.

Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

No classes were scheduled to be held Monday due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

One firefighter suffered a minor back injury.
