GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — Sandburg Middle School was placed on lockdown Monday while officials detonated a suspicious item that was found near a bicycle rack.
The device, which was described as some sort of “rocket pack,” was discovered at 12:01 p.m.
It was detonated after students were moved to classrooms on the other side of the campus, according to the Glendora Police Department.
Bennett Avenue, which was closed during the incident, is now open.
No injuries were reported.
