LA-Area Worship Leader Charged With Molesting 4-Year-Old In 2008
TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A 67-year-old man who worked as a worship leader at several churches throughout the South Bay has been accused of sexually molesting a 4-year-old girl in 2008.
Jose Mendez Vasquez was arrested Dec. 3 on allegations he molested the child outside of his Torrance home.
The suspect was released on bail and charged last week with multiple counts of child molestation.
Police are concerned Vasquez may have victimized other children through his work at the LA-area churches, which specialized in Spanish masses.
