NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — The murder of a man in a parking lot of a San Fernando Valley sports bar was under investigation Tuesday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The fatal shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. outside of The College Inn, located at 8640 Lindley Avenue, in Northridge, the LAPD said.
“He appeared to be suffering from a single gunshot wound. The fire department pronounced him dead and we began our investigation. We set up a crime scene,” said Lt. Aaron Ponce.
The unidentified victim was a Hispanic man in his 40s, according to authorities.
Police have no suspect information or witnesses.
“If there was anybody here, passing by that saw or heard anything . . . any leads from the public will be greatly appreciated,” Ponce said.
