BRENTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Rescue crews found a tree trimmer in a precarious situation in Brentwood on Monday night.
Sky2’s Stu Mundel reported that the worker slipped out of a safety harness and got stuck in a large Eucalyptus tree behind a home on the 11000 block of West Kearsarge Street around 5:40 p.m.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department was called to the area by the man’s co-workers.
Firefighters used 35-foot ladders, ropes and harnesses to bring the man to safety around 7:30 p.m.
The rescue took nearly two hours because of the challenges in securing a ladder on the steep hillside.
Officials told KCAL9 that they found a tequila bottle at the scene.
The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
