Chargers Reduce Ticket Prices For 6th Straight Year, Tickets As Low As $39

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Chargers announced today a rescaled season ticket price structure for the 2013 season.

Season ticket prices for two-thirds of the seats in Qualcomm Stadium – approximately 45,000 seats – remain unchanged, or are being reduced, for the sixth-consecutive season.  Nearly 10,000 of those season seats in the View level have been reduced and will be available for $50 or less per game, including seats as low as $39 per game.

The Chargers are one of just five NFL teams that didn't raise ticket prices in the past five years.  Twenty-seven of the NFL's 32 teams raised prices, including many more than once.

Season ticket prices for seats in prime locations of the stadium (Field, sideline Plaza and Press) are being adjusted in line with similar locations in NFL stadiums around the country.  The adjustment reflects an increase of $10 or $20 per game, depending on the seat location.

Overall, general season tickets for the 2013 season will range from $39 to $110 per game.  The single-game prices will range from $52 to $130, providing season ticket holders with an savings of $70 to $200 for the season.

By maintaining the same prices or lowering prices on two-thirds of the stadium seats, the Chargers' goal is to drive attendance which will build a stronger home-field advantage and help minimize local television blackouts.

"We believe this new structure makes sense for all areas of the stadium, giving us a better opportunity to fill the stadium while also helping the Chargers remain a viable and competitive team," said Chargers Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Services Todd Poulsen.

The Chargers' home schedule is expected to be one of the most attractive in years.  Teams coming to San Diego in 2013 include the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.

Fans can become a Chargers season ticket holder by calling 877-CHARGERS or stopping by the Chargers' ticket office at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium.
