LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who was caught on surveillance robbing a South Los Angeles business.
The male suspect was caught on tape at 3:10 p.m. on Dec. 23 at a propane gas business in the 500 block of East Slauson Boulevard in South Los Angeles, officials said.
“The suspect exited his vehicle holding a handgun in his right hand and walked directly to the cashier/attendant,” Det. Guillermo Medina of the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The suspect pointed the gun at the attendant and demanded money.
He then fled the business in his vehicle with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a 2000 to 2005 Chevy Impala that is light gray or white in color.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Newton Area Robbery Detective Medina or Detective O’Brien at (323) 846-6572.
