GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — A hiker found human remains at a popular trail in Glendora on Monday.
Police said the skeletal remains, which were scattered at South Hills Park in the 700 block of East Mauna Loa Avenue, appeared to have been in the area for a while.
Officials said they don’t believe the male bones are linked to any active missing persons report.
Resident Robert Serrato, who frequently hikes on trails in Glendora, said he was shocked by the findings.
“I think anybody in this neighborhood would be,” he said.
The investigation has been turned over to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
