WRIGHTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Jackson Lake, partially frozen from the cold, will be closed through March 31 2013, announced officials with the Angeles National Forest Monday.
The decision to close the lake to the public follows a near-tragedy on Christmas when a dozen or so people fell through the ice, many trying to rescue a sledder.
All of the people who fell in were eventually rescued.
