LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officials said Tuesday that an autopsy was pending to determine if a man who was found dead in a South Los Angeles house fire was the victim of foul play.
The unidentified man was found dead Monday morning after firefighters extinguished a blaze inside a home at 117 West 119th Street.
The 55-year-old victim showed signs of blunt force trauma to his head, according to Los Angeles Police Sgt. James Linder.
Arson investigators are also trying to determine the cause of the fire.
The man’s name was being withheld pending notification of his family.
