ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — A suspicious package was reported in the parking lot of the Westfield Santa Ana Mall in Arcadia Thursday.
Authorities were first notified of the package around 9:50 a.m. in the parking lot near JC Penny, Arcadia police said.
The bomb squad and the local fire department responded to the scene. The package was detonated around 11:50 a.m., officials said.
Authorities were unclear what the package was, but the area was later declared safe.
No evacuations were ordered.
