SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 35-year-old Santa Ana man was sentenced to three years in prison Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to touching an 8-year-old’s penis and masturbating in front of the victim.

Pedro Castillo-Sanchez pleaded guilty to one felony count of lewd acts with a child under 14. There was also a sentencing enhancement allegation of substantial sexual conduct with a child.

The Orange County District Attorney’s office said Castill0-Sanchez knew the unidentified victim and the victim’s mother. Deputy District Attorney Whitney Bokosky of the Sexual Assault Unit prosecuted the case.

The DA said that at approximately 8:00 p.m. on March 19, 2012, Castillo-Sanchez drove the boy to a Jack-in-the-Box in Santa Ana. After parking his vehicle, Castillo-Sanchez told the child to take his pants off, but the boy said no. Castillo-Sanchez forced the boy’s pants down and touched his penis. Castillo-Sanchez then took his pants off, put on a condom, and masturbated in front of the child.

When the victim got home, he told his mother about the inappropriate behavior and assault. Castillo-Sanchez got into an argument with the boy’s mother and left. Santa Ana police officers found Castillo-Sanchez at a nearby residence and arrested him the same evening.
