Police Seek South Bay Cell Phone Peeper

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a South Bay cell phone peeper.

The incident took place on Aug. 19 around 4 p.m. at a Chevron gas station in the 3600 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach police said.

The suspect, described as a black man in his 30s, reportedly held a cell phone under a woman's skirt and took a picture, according to authorities.

The "victim saw a flash go off while the phone was pointed under her clothing," Det. Allard said.

The suspect then ran out of the gas station and got into a white Honda Accord and drove southbound on Sepulveda.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Det. Allard with the Manhattan Beach Police Department at (310) 802-5125.
