TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A jewelry store in Torrance was burglarized Saturday for a second time in the past two days.

Torrance police Sgt. Steven Jenkinson told KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz that both commercial burglaries occurred at Robbins Brothers at 21200 Hawthorne Boulevard around 5 a.m.

In both cases, the suspect (s) smashed a window to get inside.

On Friday, the burglar (s) made off with cubic zirconia diamonds valued at an estimated $500.

“Today they got off estimated about $5000 worth of jewelry,” Jenkinson said.

Mertz reports that authorities are reviewing surveillance video.

No further information was immediately available.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call the Torrance Police Department.
