VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — A 32-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday after being struck by traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Van Nuys.
The California Highway Patrol said in a department statement that Shaun Wicks of Northridge was hit about 1:45 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Roscoe Boulevard.
According to the CHP, Wicks had exited his 2010 Mazda, which had spun on the highway before hitting the center divider wall. He was walking toward the center divider when he was struck.
Wicks was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
