Rain Likely Won't Put A Damper On USC-UCLA Game
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Rain likely won't put a damper on the big USC-UCLA football game, but Rose Bowl officials urged the 90,000-plus fans to bring ponchos and other rain gear as umbrellas wouldn't be allowed inside the stadium.
"Umbrellas are prohibited from the stadium, as they block the view if those behind them," said William Boyer, a spokesman for the City of Pasadena.
Scattered showers, light winds and temperatures into the mid-to-slightly upper 60s are forecast for the noon kickoff in Pasadena.
Meteorologist Kaj Goldberg, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, says a storm system moving from west to east will bring daytime highs only into the mid-60s for the Southland.
The unsettled weather is expected to linger into Sunday before drying out by Monday.
Meantime, snow levels in the higher elevations are above 7,000 feet.
