PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — An early morning fire damaged a charter school in Pasadena.

The blaze at the Opportunities For Learning Charter School on West Montana Avenue near Lincoln Avenue broke out at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, said Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

Derderian said it took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the fire.

“The structure is deemed uninhabitable and likely total loss,” she said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
