LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Let it snow! . . . at the Los Angeles Convection Center downtown.
The Los Angeles Ski Show & Snowboard Expo opened Friday morning, celebrating its 49th year.
The expo will be at the Convention Center’s South Hall, 1201 South Figueroa Street, through Sunday.
“This year’s show will feature incredible shopping bargains and money-saving specials with more than 200 exhibit booths showcasing ski and snowboard retailers as well as over 65 local, national and international winter resorts,” event officials said.
Daily events include: terrain park lessons; continuous free ski lessons on a 35 foot Snow Summit Ski School ramp, a giant free climbing wall, a 40×50 an ice-skating rink, cooking demos and beer and wine tasting.
Admission is $20 for adults and includes a “buy one get one free” Snow Summit/Bear Mountain lift ticket coupon (worth $56), children age 6 -12 are $5 and 6 and under are free.
