OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating reports of human body parts found in a Ventura County trash bin, officials said Thursday morning.

“This morning at approximately 9:39 AM, the Oxnard Police Department received a call regarding possible human  body remains discovered in a trash bin,” Cmdr. Ron Whitney said.

The trash bin is located near 4th and D streets.

No further details were released by Oxnard police.
