LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Passengers nationwide faced delays Thursday after United Airlines experienced a massive computer outage.
KNX 1070′s John Brooks reports the outage marked the third such disruption for the airline since June.
“We’re aware of a computer issue affecting some of our flights. We’re working to resolve it. We’ll update as we have more details,” the airline said on Twitter.
It wasn’t immediately clear if there was any short-term impact on passengers at LAX.
Flights began resuming operations at around 7:53 a.m., according to United officials.
Some fliers were waiting as long as two hours to depart, according to the Associated Press.
