Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 15)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The weather pattern is changing up which you will notice by a healthy dose of clouds moving into the area...and cooler temperatures.

Yesterday we topped out in the 80s...today we will be in the low 70s. There is a trough moving into the west coast and it will bring a chance of rain through the weekend.

We are not expecting anything in the way of heavy rain at all. Light scattered showers on and off through Sunday. The first disturbance moves through late Tonight and into tomorrow morning. Most of the rain will fall in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County.

Here in the metro area...we can expect less than .10". Saturday there is another disturbance moving through the base of the trough...and that will give us another chance at some wet weather. However, again you can expect very light totals.

The rain chance lingers to Sunday, but I wouldn't expect anything significant. We will dry things up as we start the next work week.

Right now these systems are looking a lot like last season. The forecast models advertise decent rainfall when we are looking at the extended forecast...then as we approach the actual event...the rain chances and rain totals diminish.

Coast-mid 70s
Basin-low 80s
Valleys-low 80s
Mountains-upper 50s
Deserts-low 70s
