Boy, 14, Accused Of Sexually Abusing 4-Year-Old

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 14-year-old boy has been accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old at a Burbank day care center owned by the teen's parents.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Mejia Family Day Care Center in the 1300 block of Whitnall Highway.

Police began an investigation on Sunday after a woman claimed her son had been abused at the center.

The suspect was detained at the Sylmar Juvenile Hall on suspicion of sexually abusing a minor.

Police said parents whose children attended the day care center were told of the arrest and were being interviewed about the incident.

The Burbank Police Department will work on the case with the California Department of Social Services-Community Care Licensing Bureau.
