Detectives Seek Public's Help In Solving Rowland Heights Rape

ROWLAND HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who brutally raped a woman in her apartment.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Oct. 27 in the 1500 block of Jellick Avenue in an unincorporated part of Rowland Heights, the Special Victims Bureau said.

"The victim was awakened by the suspect after he gained entry through an unlocked sliding glass door and then proceeded to assault and rape her," Sgt. Richard Ruiz said.

The 29-year-old victim was seriously injured in the assault.

No suspect description was released.
