THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — An armored vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Conejo Valley Unified School District headquarters Friday afternoon, officials said.
The LA Federal Armored Services vehicle was taken from the parking lot in the 1400 block of E. Janss Road around 10 a.m., the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials say two security guards went into the building to pick up an undisclosed amount of money and came out to find the vehicle missing.
The car was found abandoned a few blocks away near the intersection of White Cliff Road and Spaulding Street. It was unclear if any money was taken.
Authorities say the suspects remain at large.
The theft is under investigation.
