SILVER LAKE (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of homes were without electricity Wednesday night in Hollywood and Silver Lake.

The power outage happened around 9 p.m.

As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, Southern California Edison said there were up to 1,600 people without power in Silver Lake, according to Sky2’s Stu Mundel.

The electricity has since returned to the Hollywood area.

There is no word on what caused the outages.
