Chase Ends With Deputies Shooting 2 Robbery Suspects In Compton

COMPTON ( — A police pursuit ended in Compton Wednesday when deputies opened fire on three robbery suspects, injuring two of them, authorities reported.

The 10-minute car chase ended when the three men bailed from their vehicle at around 6:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of East San Luis Street, according to the Carson Sheriff’s Department.

The deputies opened fire, striking two of the suspects. All three suspects were placed in custody.

It was unclear how the pursuit began or what prompted deputies to shoot at the suspects.

No deputies were injured.

The incident was being investigated.
