Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 22)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A coastal eddy circulation is helping to increase the cloud cover over the region.

The low clouds have over taken the area with some patchy drizzle this morning. A trailing cold front will drag through the area later today and give us a slight chance at a light shower.

Up north in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, the rain chances are likely with a total of around a tenth of an inch. For us in the LA area, we can expect a few hundredths. Right now it looks like the best chance for rain will be later this evening into tomorrow morning.

As the front exits, we will have increasing gusty winds for our canyons and passes. There is a broad trough along the west coast driving this system...and once it moves east...which will be by the weekend...we will warm up.

Look for an off-shore flow by Friday and Saturday, bringing us downtown temperatures back up into the 80s.
