LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) According to head coach Mike Brown, first-year Laker Dwight Howard will make his debut Sunday night at Staples Center against the Sacramento Kings.
Howard has been slowly working his way back from back surgery in April, but moment before the game, head trainer Garry Vitti cleared him to play tonight.
Howard went through practice Sunday morning and told reporters that he would be a game-time decision.
Howard missed the first five preseason games, but tonight he will join Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Metta World Peace and Pau Gasol as the starting lineup.
The Lakers will look for their first preseason win Sunday night at Staples against the Kings at Staples.
