STANTON (CBSLA.com) — Officials Tuesday released the sketch of a man who tried to abduct a 17-year-old girl while she was walking her dog.

The attack happened just after 7 p.m. on Dale Street in Stanton, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.

The suspect was standing in the driveway of an apartment complex when he grabbed the teen and tried to force her into a car, officials said.

The girl screamed and was able to run to a nearby business and later contacted authorities.

The suspect is described as an Asian man in his early 20s. He is around 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build, according to officials.
