Fullerton Pastor, 54, Accused Of Molesting Girl, 18

FULLERTON (CBS) — Officials say the 54-year-old pastor of a Fullerton church has been charged with molesting an 18-year-old female congregant.

Joseph Angel Olvera is accused of touching the teen, who was living at his Lifeline Ministries church, while she was in bed Aug. 22, Fullerton police Sgt. Jeff Stuart said.

Olvera allegedly reached under her shirt and fondled her breasts, Stuart said.

Three days later, as the two were passing each other in a church hallway, Olvera allegedly slapped her on the buttocks, Stuart said.

Olvera was charged with two counts of touching an intimate part of another person, both misdemeanors, according to court records. He posted a $10,000 bond and was freed from custody.

A date for his arraignment has not been scheduled.
