VIDEO: Kobe Sends Message For Newcomers; Dunks On Jamison

EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) - Kobe Bryant is taking every single training camp scrimmage as serious as any playoff game by punishing anyone who guards him.

Kobe's latest victims were Marquetts's Darius Johnson-Odom and Greg Somogyi of UC-Santa Barbara.

Dwight Howard put the high screen on Johnson-Odom and Somogyi was caught sleeping as Kobe rolled all the way to the basket to slam on Antawn Jamison.

Kobe said the dunk on Jamison was for retaliation on taking a charge.

Not only is Kobe out there to get ready for the season, but he is also there trying to send a message to any newcomers who want to join the NBA.

"I make guys uncomfortable," Bryant said. "You're going to have to punish the guy who's guarding you. You have to send them a message and make him think about if you want to play in the NBA anymore."
