ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Thursday battled a 25-acre brush fire near Irvine Lake in Orange County.
The blaze started around 4:10 p.m. on the northeast side of Santiago Canyon Road near the 241 Toll Road, according to Battalion Chief Kris Concepcion from the Orange County Fire Authority.
About six engines, two hand crews, and two helicopters were fighting the flames for about two hours before full containment was reached.
The fire, which was burning up a slope, did not threaten any structures.
