PALMDALE (AP) — Detectives say a Southern California teenager was shot to death during an altercation with a neighbor.
Christopher Andrew Flores, 17, was found shot late Monday by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responding to an assault with a deadly weapon call in Palmdale.
The teen was taken to a hospital where he died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Victor Flores, 36, was arrested in the 38100 block of Boxthorn Street, according to the sheriff’s department.
Although the victim and suspect share the same last name, detectives didn’t know if they were related.
Authorities did not disclose what motivated the shooting, but said the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between neighbors.
