SUN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say two people have been hurt in a hit-and-run crash at a bus stop in Sun Valley.
Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, says the victims were seated at a bus bench on the southeast corner of San Fernando Road and Sheldon Street when they were struck by a vehicle.
According to authorities, the car was traveling southbound on Sheldon Street when it made a left onto San Fernando Road and lost control. The accident happened about 10:21 a.m. Saturday.
The victims, identified as a man and a woman, were taken to local hospitals.
Authorities told CBS2 that one was complaining of pain and the other possibly suffered a broken leg.
Police say at least one person has been detained in connection with the crash. It was not immediately clear how many suspects were being sought.
No further details on the crash were available.
