Dodgers' Kershaw Questionable For Sunday's Start Against Cardinals

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw could possibly miss his Sunday start against the St. Louis Cardinals due to an inflamed right hip.

Kershaw, who missed last Sunday's start against the NL-leading Giants, is listed as questionable for the final game of the crucial 4-game series against the Cardinals.

The reigning Cy-Young winner allowed one unearned run on three hits in his last outing against the Diamondbacks.

Kershaw felt healthy enough to pitch last Sunday, but skipper Don Mattingly decided to give him two extra days rest.

"This is how he felt two days before and by game day he felt he could pitch -- we'll just have to see," said Mattingly.

Rookie Stephen Fife will be the replacement if Kershaw can't make the start.

Fifa will come from Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Dodgers are a game behind the Cardinals for the last spot of the wild card
