Man Gets 7 Years For Sexually Attacking 2 Women, Stabbing 1 In Head

SANTA ANA (AP) — A Southern California man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for sexually attacking two women and stabbing one of them in the head.

Orange County prosecutors say 31-year-old Juan Carlos Quintas was immediately sentenced after pleading guilty on Tuesday to four felony counts.

He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

Investigators say a 26-year-old woman was walking along a Costa Mesa street in May 2008 when Quintas drove up in a pickup truck and offered her a ride. She got in and Quintas drove to a secluding parking lot, pulled a knife and demanded sex.

She struggled and she was stabbed in the head and stomach.

Less than four months later, Quintas spotted a woman walking in Santa Ana and she was attacked.
